Ode to Barley and Moe

We have two pets, Barley and Moe. Moe is my cat from college. He is big and fat and sometimes grumpy but he is really a sweetie. He is not always thrilled to have Barley around because he feels that Barley competes for my attentions. However, Moe does sleep with me every night, right in the middle of the bed, forcing me to a small corner. Taylor and Moe have a hate-hate relationship. Moe feels that Taylor came into HIS house and took over, and Taylor feels that Moe is annoying. Here is Moe...Barley is our dog and by far, the bigger trouble maker. Whereas Moe just loafs around the house all day, Barley wants to PLAY PLAY PLAY! He is only about a year old so he still has lots of puppy energy. He is precious and super friendly and happy but he is also very into the mischief. Let me demonstrate through photos...
This is Barley, doesn't he look sweet? Don't be fooled. This same cute dog did this to my backyard. And this...And this...
Barley also thinks that the camera will steal his soul, hence why I have more photos of him than Moe. It is much funner to sneak up on Barley and snap pictures than Moe who just wants to smell the camera.
If you hide behind the couch, the camera can't get you, or so he thought. In the end, though, through all their destruction and mayhem they are both still so sweet and we love them. I mean, how can you not love this face...

By the way, those ugly curtains in the background that so obviously do not match the couch, are not mine. They were left by the previously tenant and we just haven't found the right curtains to work with our three big windows.

Our cat Fitz is the same with Ben. When Ben and I were first married, Fitz literally backed Ben into a corner and Ben was yelling "HELP!" Fitz has also been known to attack Ben's leg in the dark! Fitz thinks Ben took over his place as "Man of the House!" Bad for Ben, fun for me...
BTW, I love "gats" too (see above comment)

Sweet Moe! Love a cat that is nice (unlike some who shall not be named). Barley does have a nice face.
